Utilizing the research from reliable sources this paper reflects understanding of what a â€Å"juvenile† really is, the history behind the system, how the Juvenile Justice System (JJS) operates, and the steps: Intake, detention, formal hearing (adjudicatory and dispositional), and sentencing. Also identified, is the history and what GJJS is about, the key issues the system is facing: budget cuts, over crowding, meeting educational requirements, ways we could reform through boot camps, make certain facilities to cope with a targeted crime prevention/ management. The system’s employees should try and boost the positive side of the juveniles to make them see that they have the potential to be good.
